So more research plus these replies have us going with cork in the bedroom. Now just trying to choose between these two styles...

I stand corrected — he also posted to Threads, which you *can* see without logging in. Deleting original post

PG in the winter is when it becomes most superior to the south

I saw and lost a post about how ivy gets thrown in when there's a row of streets named after trees, but may I present, in both alphabetical and spatial order: Ash, Birch, Cedar, Dogwood, Elm, Fir, Gorse, Hemlock, INGLEDEW, Juniper

The number of times I've explained to people what loons are.... genuine laugh out loud moment

Our local restaurant reviews page is embroiled in a heated debate: does the meat go over or under the cheese? (correct answers only please)

Of course all you have to do is search the news org and "Iran" to find coverage that predates the complaints that said news org has not been providing coverage

There's a strong narrative out there (X) that mainstream media has not been covering the Iranian protests. I don't think it's a coincidence this sentiment started spreading among right-leaning groups after Venezuela and then really caught on after Minneapolis

It's astoundingly bad-faith to present any sort of "analysis" of Canada cooling in its friendliness toward the United States and not once mention the 51st state stuff

I’m estimating about 500 people gathered outside hospital in Prince George to drum for Wesley Mitchell, including children, elders, city councillors. Started with a chant of his nickname: “Wes Wes Y’all”

This is a huge loss for our community. Wesley Mitchell was a constant presence at many events, always building bridges and seeing the humanity in people

I feel like if a city councillor did this in a busy park, pretty much anywhere, there would be more blowback

Explain to someone from 2012 that in 2026 "Greenland policy" will be "hot"

Anyone out there have experience with cork flooring? Thinking about it for bedroom - interested in softness/warmth without it being carpet, but very few people here seem to have it, even flooring stores barely stock it

Several years ago the local LGBTQ2S+ came under new ownership. Eventually they became a full on anti-vaxx/Freedom Convoy club but before that they just got really aggressive with kicking people out.

New new ownership is now holding an open mic night where past patrons can share why they were banned

The fact she's also moving to England in July to work for the Rhodes Trust doesn't give the impression she's all that committed to focusing on her constituents in University—Rosedale for much longer

They're fictional characters who don't exist in real life, hope this helps!

You know what? Deleting my initial reaction since the original post says "if I'm Canada" not "if I'm Canadian". It's a fair point that the leadership of the country may need to further adjust so I'm going with that reading

You can decide if this was worth waiting until 5:15 p.m. eastern time to craft versus what other world leaders managed in roughly half the time
