Like one of the key criticisms against Gretzky right now is he doesn't even bother showing up in Canada and then the episode is about him not showing up in Canada... and then on a real life level it's clear the show producers also couldn't convince him to show up in Canada

Alternate explanation: Bluesky product folks see an opportunity to capitalize on current round of X news, verifying accounts from politicians in possible swing countries improved their pitch as an off-ramp

HOWEVER, I will still say that amongst the very wide range options between "ban X" and "keep doing what we're doing" is for ministers in concerned governments to cease using X as a comms platform.

Not saying they should or will, just factually stating it occupies a middle ground of options
