Now, if they had other suspisions, and they use the bridge name as an excuse to cancel the visa, that I don't know.
But that they are tougher on Europeans, while letting the Asians (mainly Chinese)slip easily, that is evident. Have a look at some episodes and you will see it yourself.

An old Chinese lady had come to visit Australia. Not only she didn't declare the aboundance of food, but when caught, she refused to pay a minimal fine by saying "I have no money". If this lady was European, with no money, they would have returned her instantly.
