This was what has been so disappointing to me. For so long it appeared as though his Christianity was the “love everybody” kind.
Then suddenly at the end of his career he was making a point to make sure everyone knows that it’s not.

It's a testament to the Dodgers' industry-leading depth that when one of their accomplished-but-washed chud pitchers duffs a game out of reach they actually have another accomplished-but-washed chud with even worse politics to bring in to mop it up. Most teams don't even have one guy that odious.

Thankfully none of them actually knew my name because he also adamantly refused to call me Heather and called me Megan all semester. Because “Heathers are vapid and dumb and I’m smart”. There were two other Heathers in the class who he said this in front of. And a Megan.

I wrote all of my weekly papers for my Freshman English class in the two hours before class. I got As on every one and my professor would go on rants about how if everyone wrote as well as I did and tried as hard as I did, everyone would be doing better in the class. 🫣
Everyone hated me. Reasonably.

Hoping to see our lineup start hitting again next year. And for Elias to make some big multi-year signings. Especially for veteran leadership.
Baseball is better when the Orioles are good.
