I love making my own meatballs, because I know exactly what’s in them. But I detest making them, because my CDO nature can’t stand that they all are not the same size or shape!

While we were off cruising, our neighbors, the WhiteTailed Deer, so thoughtfully stripped the leaves from our horseradish stalks. Not pictured here, they also deheaded every chrysanthemum blossom from the plants in our upper garden. I hope they got a gut ache. #pests

The peony patch is right below the hook that holds our bird feeder in winter. A sunflower seed must have germinated in the protection of the peonies. The stalk is 4-ft tall; more flowers look to be blooming! #crazyplants
