Struggling. My attempts to cope with the horrors of a world I no longer understand are posted here as paintings [and, occasionally drawings and photographs.] I also repost things that interest me by other people. No lists please. And no NFTs.
Ah sounds lovely! We lived in 3 different places when I was a child; all in the suburbs in The Potteries with small general stores in each of them plus a butcher's shop in the 3rd. In the 2nd we had delivery vans for bread and laundry, and a coal lorry. I don't remember my mother baking much.

Indeed they are. Ours had a stone slab to keep cheese and butter etc cold [many years before my parents had a fridge.]The milk was stored in a bucket of cold water. There was also a tiny window but no mesh. I also remember a few shelves for storing non-perishables. :-)

I imagine it would have done... and toss aside the old [daft] adage: 'blue and green should never be seen except with yellow inbetween.' Ooooh lovely... used to have a walk-in pantry in the house where I grew up... never had one since then.

Haha... indeed so. That particular one is actually three: Terre Verte over Emerald Green and Chromium Oxide Green. :-)
