My god, we're reduced to being grateful that a US Secretary of State isn't threatening annexation. What a gentleman! 🙄 Rubio is persona non grata as far as I'm concerned. He sold his soul to Trump. There is no honor left in that deconstruction site.

The rural economy will have to break before voters abandon the Sask Party. The CCF/NDP built the enduring infrastructure that underpins the Sask Party's rural success. A good road and SUV make urban services accessable. Social networks replace local community. A century of population decline.

Canada has a multiparty system, but the two ruling parties absolutely refuse to give up their advantage. Still, third parties can control minority governments. It can be done in the USA, but what an insurmountable hurdle!

No doubt there has been foreign purchases. If there is a will, there's a way. I'm more concerned with corporate acquisitions and consolidation. Farm size has doubled since 1975. Only 1-3% of farmland has found its way into agribusiness hands. I guess that's encouraging.

Establishing indigenous roots back 3,000 years is tricky. Claiming to be indigenous to a particular place seems subjective. Clearly, Palistinians are likely more indigenous to that area than the majority of Israeli immigrants. My fifth generation claim to somewhere in western Poland is suspect.
