She's the only character I play in that game. It was one of the first to have a female character option, which I was naturally drawn to. Whether she's a good choice or not is irrelevant; but fortunately, she does seem to be a good choice!

There aren't a whole lot of custom levels I recognize, but that one is MAP31 in Doom II The Way Id Did, done in the style of the Commander Keen games. The weapons/HUD are a separate mod I don't recognize.

Yeah, I block freely and often. I'm sure there's been a few false positives, people blocked who didn't deserve it; but I don't have the time or emotional energy to research them all individually to pick out the few exceptions. "White people did this" carries weight for just over 50%; same reason.

I've been mostly done with the character sprites for some time now; and have replacement sounds in place as well: which completes the experience of playing as a female character. This project is nearly done, or at least to a releasable state; mostly just some loose ends to wrap up at this point.

There are many ports. Most of the others cater to speedrunners who want to skip the game; ZDoom early on embraced Heretic and Hexen, elevating them, and much of modern classic Doom is built upon them. So despite being a purist at heart, I've found myself in the ZDoom camp. And I like it here.

Tolkien did much to set the archetypes we know today. Random goober ass wizards are cut from the cloth of Gandalf and Saruman, at least visually. 💁🏻‍♀️

Not only that, but originally referred to weaving, as of cloth; same root as "textile" and "texture". The original technology was women's work. 💁🏻‍♀️

And weaving was a precursor to… computers! Wires woven to hold memory; punch-cards that guided looms could also hold data. Women's work indeed.

"pygeidolia" could be a word for that. 💁🏻‍♀️🍑

pareidolia = para+eidolon+ia = side-image
pygeidolia = pygê+eidolon+ia = butt-image
