Oh, cool! Game preservation people have managed to recover a full install of Battletech 3025 - a defunct multiplayer mech shooter.
Efforts are currently in progress to reverse-engineer a server framework and get that up and running, bringing it back to life.

Also if one's an emerging creator, they're already fucked in twitter before they even start. Unlike in there (when I still had an account a year ago), I actually got more followers and interactions here by, you know, interacting with people instead of expecting some weird algorithm to do it for me.

If one leaves aside for a moment stuff like popular troll/hate groups that the staff always turned a blind eye on, the community was pretty kind and fun especially in how people used to communicate (llamas, silly plz accounts, thanking for favs and more). There was that sense of community.
