Compare the Lock screen to the Home or App Library screen. The apps and their icons _are_ the content. Here they are vibrant, bold and immediately usable.

I suspect in a few releases time, the notifications will revert to solid backgrounds. 🙏

Could the higher rejection rates be highlighted more clearly if the number of applications rejected vs applied was shown? This graph could suggest that Nigeria simply had 5x as many VISA apps compared to SA - which track their respective pop sizes.

Decent revenue stream for someone though ;)
