"Liquid Glass [..] a new way while letting content shine through underneath it."

Generally I like LG on iOS26, but it makes the lock screen ugly and unusable. The notifications _are_ the content, yet LG makes them look dark, bland and, worst of all, unreadable.

Still invested in KMP, but I would much prefer writing apps in Swift. Swift Android working group is exciting even if it’s too early to tell #kmp #swift

Apologies in advance, it’s a long read, and there’s not a single line of code. But I’m a little bit proud of this one! ☺️

Imagine Julian Simon and Paul R Erlich had made their bet about commodity prices at a different time. Decade by decade, who would have won?
Fun, instructive by @hannahritchie.bsky.social ourworldindata.org/simon-ehrlic...
Who would have won the Simon-Ehrlich bet over different decades, and what do long-term prices tell us about resource scarcity?
In the 1980s, economist Julian Simon won his bet with biologist Paul Ehrlich on mineral prices. But what does the long-term data tell us about supply and demand for resources?
