I see some familiar faces on here from the other site’s Chicago politics scene, but few local journos, news outlets, or official public accounts. I realize many of them are forced to prioritize reach, already juggling a lot of sites. Feels like an early-mover advantage still to be had here, though.

One advantage to being an older user on a new app like this? We’re not easily discouraged by a lack of engagement. Plenty of us spent a lot longer publishing elaborate self-hosted homepages that only got six visits a month.
