An interesting, if unfortunate, sight flying over Montana yesterday on the way home. Apparently a big wildfire sending plumes of smoke skyward. As it reaches high enough, the cold upper air causes the rising smoke to form pyrocumulus and pyrocumulonimbus clouds. #Wx
