Can anyone assist Rachele with this awful situation? Seems very poor from UCU.
Actually, what the hell. Have a thread. I went to @ucu.org.uk for badly needed legal advice after being made redundant under truly dodgy circumstances. I was told I wasn’t entitled to support bc I’d only been a member for 3 months. This was news to me! I joined in Oct 2017!! 1/

The EHRC guidance isn't just aggressively anti-trans, it's also actively authoritarian and openly anti-LGBTQ+, attempting to break LGBTQ+ freedom of association.
Any government that does not resist it will be complicit in the most significant shift to social conservatism we've seen in decades.

There's an edited vol. already, but it's not of stunning calibre, so there is room, I think.

I have decided to step down from my panel at the Oxford Literary Festival. I hoped to celebrate and share queer stories + highlight the long history of LGBTQ+ lives. Gutted that voices will now be absent, but I stand in solidarity with my trans friends and writers. As the mollies say #AlwaysTogether
