Alexia has had so little autonomy and control over her life. She kills and lashes out from desperation for something deeper, something she can't find. She finds love with cars but even that is unfufiling and leaves her worse off. I feel her transformations have all been forced upon her #bsueng490

When I first saw Titane, I was horrified, when I re-watched through my own femenist perspective lens, i was even more mortified. The depiction of traumatized women as machines, a woman being forced to carry a pregnancy, that pregnancy killing her, and in the end a man gets a fresh start? #bsueng490

Alexia dying at the end absolutely ruined the story. Her death was just to benefit the man in the story. Instead of depicting a troubled woman live and learn, we see a woman tortured the entire movie to die at the end to help a man fix himself. #bsueng490

I've seen this movie previously, and I didn't look at it with a femenist perspective on the first viewing, I wonder how much that will change how I experience the story

I don't consider myself an artist by any means but I was obsessed with the Shadow quote and really wanted to use it in an assignment for my art appreciation class :>

I'm so trying hard to channel my sadness and rage into productivity, organizing and connection but every morning still starts with a slow motion, internal fight to even try to move what feels like a leaden body and hollow heart that desires nothing more than to sink, disappearing, into the earth.

Society expects women to take care of the house, kids, and husband without any help. 10 months to wake up every day, take care of a house, other children, husband, and then themselves. Women's babies are given more compassion than the mother doing the carrying

Schrodinger joke is an annoying gaslighting teqneque, if you aren't offended it's their opinion if you're offended it's just a joke. They use these little tests to guage others for how much they can get away with. And to find others with the same feelings as them
