Oh I mean it definitely is better to have a tightly sealed enclosure and dedicated intentional air supply

Some people have these things called "allergies"

Other people live near this other thing called "air pollution sources"

Yet other people live in areas with "swamp like humidity"

Guuurl you're talking like the bar is super high here

This is way better than most

I get harassed every now and then even in bodegas

It matters a lot. Is @thesciencefemme.bsky.social here? She uses similar tactics to cram basic scientific and technical knowledge into the brains of men 🤣

I'm not used to bsky but in case it's not clear it was @dashabond.com. She's been fairly low-key about it (and ngl, I do get it, I can only imagine the amount of harassment she probably gets in private when she posts a selfie in a kn95), but consistent.

- try to fix the entire pandemic response
- be responsible for jokes on internet

Yeah I do think we may have to do everything around here

I will *always* remember the awesome mask-sampling COVID outreach/relief packages that swop Brooklyn put together. I just wish it was in the history books too!!!

Me, this level of happy when influential SWers retweet things about COVID

It may seem hard to believe but there is a group of Infectious Disease doctors who signed an affidavit to restrict nurses' access to N95s early in the pandemic

*chuckles subtly*

One of my favorite things is when people figure this out for the first time

It's like watching a kind of "mind blown" moment

The real question - so many people apparently never have this revelation. How do they make it through life without it?!

I don't see a single "David FISHMan" joke in the replies. Disappointed 🤣

The irony of saying that the standard is "not supported by evidence" when they don't provide any evidence themselves. Also, their dabbling into health economics, while having no discernible expertise in that field & while claiming the authors of the standard don't have expertise really is something.

3/ Do No Harm BC has posted an excellent website dedicated to this new standard: donoharmbc.ca.

Kudos to Canada for setting an international first in development of such a standard.

Thanks to Dick Zoutman of Queen's Univ for the heads up.

"The absence of identified authors or contributors makes it difficult to assess the expertise behind the standards."

WHY THOUGH

WHY

Are they going to also reject the peer review process, because it's anonymous?!
