This started out as just an odd Frogby then my husband said it looked like a turtle, so I added a shell and have been using it as a spot to experiment with color blending and doing different details and things with needle felting and now I guess it's Turtleby.

My dad gave me my stamp collection last time I visited cause it'd just been sitting at his house for ages and I'm just going through some of them now and I have a bunch of these: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_d... which all have special postmarks and the first one in the box is a comics one!

I kept seeing Fashion Plates in different stores and was like okay I should make paper dolls instead of buying this for nostalgia reasons
Fashion Plates - toy that you could use colored pencil or crayon to rub against a paper that was placed over a 'plate' with an outlined image protruding from the plate, so when you did the rubbing, the image would be revealed on the paper, darker where the protrusion is, there were three different parts, the head, shoulders and midriff and hips and legs that had different pants or skirts, for instance.

Two more panels from a new comic I'm working on called Marionette, about the life and times of a child star, from her rise to her fall to her comeback, everyone wants a piece of Marionette. Having a lot of fun drawing this one, using it as an excuse to draw all the ads and magazine pages I want.
Marionette is Perfume - illustration of a perfume bottle with a perfume called 'Marionette's Strings - eau de parfum' A fake movie poster "She's got her eggs and her pancakes, too!" There's a woman with pink/red hair and green skin, wearing a dark blue robe and pink underwear. The time on the clock reads 6am. There are pancakes and an egg falling around the woman. "So vulnerable." "This is acting" "Marionette is... The Saddest & Loneliest" The whole poster is a reference to the Jewel song "You Were Meant For Me" as a joke (It's 6 am, I hear the clock, it's 6 a.m. I feel so far from where I've been I got my eggs, I got my pancakes too I got my maple syrup, everything but you)

Frogby builds a friend
A little frog in a jacket, boots and scarf builds a snow friend, there are eight drawings of the frog as the snow ball gets bigger and bigger and eventually there's a snow pal that looks like the frog, there's also a little webbed branch bc a spider has helped make the snow frog webbed branch hands

It feels like there are AI snakes on every plane sometimes Two Snakes: you must use it! You must! MUSSSSSST! Another Snake: "We need your fresh data!" Chorus of Snakes: "Feed us! Feed us!" Writing isn't just writing, it's thinking through ideas. Finding language to describe your experience. Putting your thoughts into words. Add some drawings, we got a comic stew going, baby. The creative process is an adventure just waiting for you to discover it (a little pink frog travels through a landscape on his adventure) It's up to YOU to go on a journey within yourself. (The little pink frog is holding a map, all destinations are "you") A plausibility generator/plagiarism machine can't help you with that. (The frog rejects the robot)
