The cutting of the 2 child benefit limit is set to lift 470,000 children out of poverty. 70% are from working families.
It’s a disgrace that child poverty increased under the Tories. After these changes, 3,200 children in Halesowen will no longer face poverty.

We welcome the Chancellor’s announcement that gambling duties will generate an additional £1.1 billion by 2029–30, with the remote gambling duty increasing from 21% to 40% from April 2026!
This proposal is not only morally right, but fiscally responsible.

Last week, I raised the issue of HMOs in Westminster Hall.
I know that the rise in HMOs is a concern for my constituents, and I will keep standing up for you to ensure our roads are safe, residents have ample parking, and to tackle anti-social behaviour.
