This was me, a little over a year ago, dressed in suffragette white, wearing a sandwich board stating: I CANNOT VOTE TODAY ASK ME WHY. As a registered unaffiliated (independent) voter, I'm barred from voting in DC's taxpayer-funded primary elections. 73% of voters here want to change that. 1/2

Chairman Mendelson released his budget bill today. He did not include funding for Initiative 83, even though ~73% of voters voted for it.

If you want to have better elections in DC, please email or call your councilmembers today and ask them to support an amendment to include implementation funding
