Rereading @danielkraus.com's Whalefall. I was on vacation in Monterey in October and so it resonates even more with me. But as a kid who wanted to be a marine biologist and still has a great love of the sea, this book is such joy to me. Also, who doesn't have daddy issues on some level?

After stalling on a novel project in January, I'm going to take another shot shot after I'm done with another novel project. In the meantime I'm keeping an outline/idea book for when I'm ready to start the novel again.

Finished This House Isn't Haunted But We Are by @stejhoward.bsky.social (@wildhuntbooks.bsky.social) A wonderfully original take on the haunted house that was emotional and didn't know where it was going to go next and then towards the end becomes a bit Clive Barker which I absolutely loved!
