While I stayed with her, I was so worried about my job that I called and asked HR if I could use bereavement leave to cover the time I was away. They told me no – I could only use it after she passed. Grief and loss of a parent is hard enough; on top of that, I had to worry about losing my job. I will always be a champion for mental healthcare. You never know when you might need this kind of support, and stigma can prevent people from getting the help they need. So the best way to combat stigma and expand access right now is to proudly say YES to a Crisis Care Center in our City!

I was just as shocked with the news about the route 2 bus only lane as you. We are working on it. We need to prioritize pedestrian safety and not go backwards on our transit investments.
