In the last 24 hours, I cut ties with one of my parents and 2 of my siblings. The policies and rhetoric embraced by Trump and the Republican Party have actively endangered marginalized communities, attacked democracy, and fueled cruelty. I cannot overlook or excuse any of this, not even for family.
