Wait, what, Tice thinks WE are the decadent ones, not the ones building fucking luxury island residential developments?!

I was just thinking yesterday about how anxiety re: assimilation is weirdly modern; in most large cities (and often in the countryside) for century after century it was considered completely unremarkable to interact with people who would never be expected to know your language or share your religion

This Rod Hull tribute act is a bit shit isn't it.

Also not mocking the model, but does he really make it look wearable? Not to me.

The fashion industry jumped the shark a long, long time ago imo.

Jenrick's "team have compiled and passed to the Telegraph a mega dossier of 35 judges he reckons have “pro-migration bias” — and he wants to sack ‘em all"

This is a Trump tribute act. Dangerous "enemy of the people" stuff here.

More shocking than the bollocks spouted by a caller on Tom Swarbrick on @lbc.co.uk was his failure to challenge it

”You go on a left pro-Palestinian & take out a union jack and they’ll rip you apart”

There were union jacks on the last pro-Palestinian march I went on an nobody was ripped apart

Far from being a distant colleague, insiders told Byline Times that Reform's former Welsh leader, convicted of bribery, was a close Farage aide and worked on the Kremlin's plan to crush Ukraine

Thanks to the Daily Mail for correcting an article, which wrongly said that Korean researchers claimed they had found proof that the Covid vaccines had raised the risk of getting cancer.

As we explain, the researchers said no such thing.

Hello BBC, Sky, LBC 👋

The party you won't stop telling us will be next in power are full of Russian shills.
One, Farage's favourite, just got convicted.

Maybe ...report on it?

Yes. Luckily we can still enjoy shows like The Mash Report & Mock the Week.

Maybe not "precisely"...

They are also quite dumb.

When you are so far right that you accuse Fox News of being the "politically correct".

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

Not only that but him & Farage no doubt had plenty of time to chat on their flights to Russia together...

Absolutely this.

They don't care what it is, it just gives them something to fight over.

Leaving the ECHR is just another "cause" that right-wing lunatics can latch onto.

It's Brexit 2.

And like the original most people backing, it don't understand it, don't really believe in what they
are doing and do not care one jot what havoc it causes.

@guitarmoog.bsky.social been on an REM trip since seeing your posts. It's been... a while.

There are lots of reasons not to leave ECHR. But apart from anything else, it just doesn't solve the problem the Tories/Reform think it does.

E.g. the Supreme Court judgment re Rwanda being unsafe explicitly said it was not based on ECHR.
alexofthew.bsky.social
Well, that entirely depends on how the government behaves.

It should be patently obvious that those who most want to remove our human rights protections are the same ones we should most want to protect ourselves from by keeping them from getting anywhere near power.

It's just staggering that these incredibly unserious, clearly ridiculous, obviously nasty people continue to swamp our media.
