I have no words for how sad and angry this makes me. Trans healthcare and acceptance is suicide prevention. The bigoted policies of the government and the hate they engender directly led to this woman’s death. Her blood is on all our hands.
1. This week, news emerged that former trans athlete, student at Middlebury, and advocate for trans rights, Lia Smith, was found dead.
Her death was ruled a suicide.
But I argue that it's not only a suicide. Every trans suicide is a murder by those in power.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?
