VIDEO: one of Ukraine's National Police bomb squads removing debris of a Russian ballistic missile after the Jan 24 massive RU attack on the capital Kyiv.

The cop says it's an unexploded warhead.

In my understanding, the missile was attacking one of the three co-generation plants heating the city.

One of the targets of last night's Russian airstrike on Kyiv, Ukraine was the Roshen Center, a confectionary factory / civic center.

A woman was killed in that wing, two more got wounded.

They were there at night because they were BAKING CAKES 24/ 7, an iconic Roshen product (Google "Kyiv Cake").

VIDEO: a Russian supersonic missile hits a residential neighborhood in Kyiv, Ukraine last night.

That's a very new building so I'm not sure if people already live there, but it's unmistakeably an apartment tower in a purposely-residential quarter.

Everything you need to know about the ongoing US-"mediated" RU-UA "peace talks" in Abu-Dhabi is that Russians commited yet another crime against humanity in Ukraine last night.

Among the targets of the major Russian strikes on Kyiv and Kharkiv: power and heating sites, hospitals, a nursing college.

A simple question you need to ask everyone confused about whether Russians maybe “want peace” with Ukraine: why does Russia KEEP committing atrocities against Ukrainians then?

Surely it's harder to make peace with someone if you're convincing them DAILY that you're still trying to genocide them?

"[European Union] is a great power, but it needs the COURAGE to admit it” and to stop "looking to the US for a positive signal each time", a senior staffer to Ukraine's President Zelensky told @financialtimes.com .

A Russian small drone purposely killed two aid activists delivering bread to the elderly civilians who refused to be evacuated from the frontline village of Kozacha Lopan in eastern Ukraine.

Don't look away.

Important context of Ukraine's battle to survive the winter under Russian terror strikes: 20 years ago this week, the country had a REHEARSAL of sorts.

The city of Alchevsk had suffered a district heating failure and was rescued by a nationwide effort involving some of the men saving Kyiv TODAY.

I know ya'll like dogs photos, here's the kind befitting the situation:

A Ukraine Air Force dog hunkered down in an airbase bomb shelter during the ongoing Russian airstrike on the country.

Freshly posted by an airman.

Kyiv Mayor confirms power supply disruptions in the Left-Bank part of the city due to the ongoing Russian airstrike on Ukraine; says hospitals, schools, kindergartens etc. are switching to generators.

What he means by "disruption" is that the electricity situation went from VERY BAD to worse.

"If the [EU] had provided adequate support to Ukraine, Russia's war would have been over long ago. Europe would be respected as a security player—even by Trump. The failure to support Ukraine properly lies at the heart of the current drama."

Interesting move by President Zelensky today: a distinguished drone unit commander from the National Guard (!) is appointed as a Deputy Commander of Air Force, tasked with reforming the short-range air defense across Ukraine military.

Col. Pavlo "Lazar" Yelizarov was a career TV producer pre-War.

ICYMI, Donald Trump personally invited Vladimir Putin and his Belarus vassal Aleksandr Lukashenko to the "Board of Peace".

They are not just dictators of countries [1.5 countries] hostile to US but TYRANTS guilty of ordering murder of million+ civilians between them, at home and abroad.

More Russian terror strikes in Ukraine today: massive RU attack on five energy sites in Chernihiv Region; RU glide bomb hit a residential area of Kharkiv, killing an elderly woman and injuring 11 civilians.

☝️THIS is what you need to know about Trump's Greenland plot against Ukraine's EU partners.

The whole of Ukraine may switch to a new, harsher schedule of power outages where each househould would go without grid electricity for at least 16 HOURS A DAY😣, and this would still be an improvement compared to the current unscheduled situation - a top energy CEO's X post this evening.

An interesting case of political psychology: watching unbombed BlueSky Westerners dream aloud about US dissolution / separatism, Cali independence, Canada annexing US states, US Civil War 2.0 etc.

These SAME adult children usually believe that all wars are avoidable and armies are unnecessary🙃

Russia's special envoy to US celebrates the "NATO collapse" after Trump's fresh tariffs threat regarding Greenland.

He's not wrong. And he knows what's at stake: with the US military on the NATO's side, Russia wouldn't last A WEEK in a kinetic armed conflict with NATO.

PHOTO: A Molniya, Russian winged one-way attack drone, stuck unexploded in an anti-drone cover in a near-frontline area of Ukraine.

Looks like a toy (that pole is less than 4 m high, and the net was originally meant to catch fish), but this toy has a range of up to 20 km, can disable a tank.

The Jan 13 Russian missile strike on a civilian courier company in Kharkiv that killed four employees purposely targeted not only the parcels terminal but also the BOMB SHELTER where most employees had gathered after hearing the air siren: local news outlets citing Ukraine's Rescue Service.

Personal news: My Kyiv home's electricity situation has MUCH improved (fingers crossed) but the uncertainty remains. The power supply in the entire city❗ is still unscheduled meaning it can literally go off / on any time.

1000s of Kyiv families are having it way worse than me: without HEATING.
January 17, 2026 at 7:51 AM
The sad moment when Ukraine Air Force's official channel mentions "the USUAL Shakheds [drones]" when describing the recurring Russian airstrikes on Kyiv today.

"The USUAL" drones swarming a 5 million+ European city.🙁

Top Ukraine politics news this week: corruption criminal case against MP Yuliya Tymoshenko, one of the most prominent pre-war Ukrainian politicians. She has had an eventful career, going from being an icon of pro-democracy protests and a global sex symbol to a marginal megapopulist has-been.

IMPORTANT: the Havana Syndrome that has crippled dozens of US diplomats appears to have been caused by a real foreign attack, with a real unconventional weapon that the US services were reportedly able to capture later - and it's likely Russian.
January 13, 2026 at 7:30 PM
Russian missile strike hours ago targeted a logistics hub of Nova Poshta courier company [think Ukraine's version of DHL] in Kharkiv suburbs.

At least one employee was killed, at least three wounded.

Rescuers dig thruthe rubble despite Arctic weather and ONGOING drone strikes in the wider area.

Donald Trump's threats to "annex" Greenland is as much about Russia as is EVERYTHING in his second term.

American exceptionalists🤡 of both parties might fantasize that it's about American interest or about domestic US politics, but it's simply about undermining European Union's SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE.
