If we're lucky she'll be pardoned because that means even they'll think that they'll get voted out and not be able to rig it to stay in perpetual power. If he doesn't pardon his crooked cabinet, it means he's confident that the elections will be rigged in his favor and pardons will be unnecessary.

JB is hesitant to walk his talk because he cannot fully trust the ISP. Even in blue states bigotry runs rampant, especially in law enforcement. Meanwhile, 47 has recruited proud boys and racists to form his ICE goon squads and painted them as patriots. It's the bigotry that needs to be fleshed out.

JB doesn't have to be on the streets, and his tough talk is indeed needed, but you have to back it up. As they say on the front lines, talk is cheap. Not sure if I agree with the political ambition part. One billionaire president is too many. Hell, one billionaire is one too many!

I'm in a rapid response group aiding families terrorized by ICE. I'm seeing the real effects of 47's bigoted drama play out on real people that just want to live a better life. ICE, like this regime, is weak. It will back down if pressured. Strong pols could squash the terror with a firm resolve.

I get it and understand, but to me JB is just performing theatrics to position for a possible run. The real leaders are out there confronting ICE in the flesh, not preening for the cameras. I've a state senator that shouted in the streets for people to lock their doors b4 ICE gave up and drove off.

Feds escalated regardless. Daley was the boss of the CPD in 68. JB is the boss of ISP today. He talks tough, but that's all he does. Google Troy210 flights and you'll see where and when the CBP blackhawks operated in and around Chicago. They left before today's theater. Things should quiet down now.

Illinois has a thing called the Trust Act, where local and state law enforcement cannot assist fed agents. As Gov, JB is basically in charge of the ISP (its Dir is in his cabinet). However, the ISP has acted as crowd control for ICE in violation of that Act. Just want JB to act more than just talk.

In what world will that be?
Because right now, the only thing ICE is getting in return, aside from some judges trying their best at curbing the terror, is tough talk from politicans jockeying position for higher office. The problem is the chunk of America that supports ICE's goon squad tactics.

All he is doing is talking. If @govpritzker.illinois.gov was actually to do something, he would at the very least have the Director of the State Police, a member of his cabinet, direct the ISP to arrest those ICE thugs that shot people in Illinois. Alas, all JB does is complain and preach on camera.

Trump's regime is a reality show gone bad. It is nothing more than an authoritarian attempt using theatrics. Yet nobody, besides a few judges, have shown an appetite to stand up to this circus. Instead, they've acquiesced unless a public backlash hits their bottom line. This shitshow will continue.
