Eg. during the pandemic the same people were against masking, vaccination and social distancing. The only common between these is that they are being against slowing the infection. If one is against masking, a vaccine would help avoiding masks. Unless they want the infection to spread.

In my experience most people try to come up with a reason why someone else is evil. Do they want money? Power? Sex? Are they mentally ill? But sometimes the only common thing in their actions is that they're all evil. (cont.)

The AI art I just generated has 0 cultural impact. Why would I ever consider its meaning? These people are coming up with more and more useless ideas because apparently the more useless, the less unethical, I guess, but somehow they still manage to do harm.

Like, why would I narrow my art selection for the mood board by a one-note algorithm, when I can use the entirety of human art history? Why would I add a slop grinder to my salad? The job of an artist shouldn't be looking for ways to utilize a useless software.

This part is REALLY insidious, there is not a functioning commercially viable LLM out there that is not trained on Laion, a data set that scraped the entirety of reddit, artstation and a thousand other places. "Ethically trained LLMs" are a total fiction/scam

I'm also surprised that none of these people worry about these algorithms being a black box to them. There's input and output, but they don't know what happens between. What if it's something really dumb, like complete randomness? They don't know.

What do even "concepting" and "exploring ideas" mean in this context? These are so vague to a layperson, but might have very specific meanings for an artist or developer. I imagine concept are should be clear and legible. And exploring ideas means thinking about them with our mind.

Is their plan to create every possible art a game might need? How is that efficient?

1. Be a Christian because it's moral.
2. Now do these immoral things because they are Christian.

Complaining that connecting with other people is not entertaining enough is unhinged. Like drama queens who intentionally stir shit for fun. Other people are not there for entertainment.

LLMs stealing art and destroying the environment was just the frosting on the cake. This is still the cake.

But art requires intent. It will have no intent. The algorithm will replace the thinking. And these algorithms have a very narrow way of working, limiting our taste. Sure, they're not stealing art (wow, the bar is low), but it's still inhuman and ruining our minds.

If the technology is moving so fast that law cannot follow it, then I guess it's also too fast for the government to subsidize it?

Even if she knows, why is she there from the POV of Gordon?
