I didn't know they were developing a remake of this game until today. Now the game is online co-op, which I rather like. It's also faster, bloodier, and noisier

It's obvious that the game is extremely ambitious, the demo already features and entire city and multiple areas to explore. For now, the whole thing feels very rough and it might take a few more years of development for it to be polished

The sprites are gorgeous and I'm obviously jealous. Game play is pretty similar to what I remember from the old Paper Mario games. The demo definitely makes you want to keep exploring the town and uncover the mystery

Game is obviously trying to capture that very retro Lands of Lore feeling and nails it. I'm just wondering why there's so many enemies everywhere?

This is what gaming is about. They nailed everything important, the game is super fun, and I assume the minor UI annoyances will be fixed by the game's release.

The game plays well, but the demo was very short. It's hard to form an opinion about a game in less than 10 minutes

The pixel art looks good, with some interesting VFX. But I didn't really get where to go after the shrine 🫤
If the devs ever stumble on this tweet: in a JRPG dialogue, pressing A once should display the full text, twice skips

The gameplay loop is pretty straightforward: summon a bunch of familiars, let them passively collect mana while you do something else and use that mana to get stronger familiars.
A tiny-scoped demo but not a bad one.

Is it crafting and farming game number 9001? Yes. Is it a solid one? Very probably yes.
Only drawback was sub-par performance on my machine.

First one to get my attention is Effulgence RPG. It is a turn-based RPG where the 3D world is rendered with ASCII glyphs.
The game looks really good, which is why I clicked on it. Sadly I don't feel that the gameplay is clicking with me.

It includes a bunch a small fixe, a real "log out" button and a configuration option for people who want to move the frontend files or launch from another directory
