I mean often this is more unlearnt bioessentialism and unexamined presumptions about sex with trans women than active transmisogyny. It's typically a revulsion to the concept of The Phallus, but most people simply do not realise that a dick is not inherently The Phallus.

Yeah, I was trying to thread the needle of not excusing it whilst saying "it's an understandable journey to go on". When they refuse to, it's a problem. There's no good reason to react to other people's relationships like that.

It's work to be done and it's shit when it hasn't, but the reaction is one I'm not entirely without sympathy for. Especially when they (wrongly) feel that any of this as direct pressure for them to have sex with a trans woman rather than understand us as we actually are and what that means to others

It's not that it's not transmisogyny, but where it comes from is interesting. I've watched multiple cis lesbian friends go through this journey around it as they reconcile the comphet violence they were raised with with the reality that a dick is not manhood.

He prevented the protection of trans kids in schools. In particular, sex and biology education that is relevant to them. He was the intervening act that stopped that.
