Donald Trump’s deployment of the military in Los Angeles over the objection of California leaders is an abuse of power and a dangerous escalation.

It’s what you would see in authoritarian states and it must stop.

Americans have the right to speak out and peacefully protest.

Attempting to erase gun violence doesn’t erase reality.

I could not be happier @joepezzula.bsky.social and I moved to Minnesota in 2021. And now that we have our incredible little one, life is even more grand in this state.
NEW: Minnesota was just ranked a top state both to retire and to raise a family.

By investing in the things that matter – economic opportunity, health and safety, and strong communities – we’re building the best state for all Minnesotans from childhood through retirement.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame.

The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight.

It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic.

So many wrong choices are being made, and pushed and pursued, when it comes to AI.
Microsoft Research: GenAI can inhibit critical engagement with work and can potentially lead to long-term overreliance on the tool and diminished skill for independent problem-solving.

Microsoft: *sells GenAI aggressively into the Education 365 packages*
Microsoft's own research confirms something that was already pretty obvious: relying on a text generating machine to come up with answers erodes critical thinking, and is a method favoured by those who never liked doing critical thinking in the first place
