CalTrans closed I 5 due to the live fire. (80000 cars pass by per hour). As it turned out, one of the shells miss fired and damaged CHP vehicle on the freeway. If car traveling at 80 mph were showered by debris there would have been a huge disaster. Good on Newsom looking out for safety.
