Shingles is exceedingly unpleasant. I disliked it when I had it and don't want it again. Definitely get the vaccine when eligible.

I'm not going to lie, it was occasionally pretty scary -- when my foot didn't get a good purchase or when the ice axe slipped or when I was going down... that said I'm so glad I tried it!

I tried ice climbing for the very first (and maybe only?) time! :) It was fun! And beautiful! And I am old enough that I know that I may not be able to do such a thing forever.
