Context matters. Maybe it's less about the coat than the definition of ruined? Ruined as in 'i got caught in the rain and my outfit is ruined' or 'this piece of clothing had been destroyed and is for the rag bin now'.

But wait! You haven't read You Should be So Lucky by @catswrites.bsky.social?! 1960s New York baseball with deeply decent people doing their best to survive. A bit funny, a bit heartbreaking and a beautifully developed love story. And I'm from NZ, I don't even care about baseball (or hockey).

I would be interviewing in a second! Does she grow her own olives? Have a press or is part of a community collective? Study soil, whether, varietals, etc. This has potential for top knotch hobbying.

You know what they say, everyone's a communist in their youth, but when they get older just get really into gardening and artisanal handcrafts to prepare their mind, body and community for societal collapse and rebuilding along anarchocommunist & indigenous principles.

I did not! A few, but it appears the venn diagram of Loyal Listeners, Princess Bride fans, and BlueSky users is more Olympic rings, less total eclipse.

And for the traditionalists (I just like the songs, ok?) here she is reminding us that Silent Night, Hark the Herald Angels Sing etc have stood the test of time for a reason.

Same in our house! Except I am a tech genius, and fixed the Internet the fam had been frantic about (including my partner calling One) by coming home and....plugging the router back in. 💅

Oh no! Rosie the dog was easier to find as she was cowering under the couch. We're also cowering, pretending it's still raining too much to go inspect the crop damage.
