Yeah, typically when it comes up it's either someone who has no interest in pursuing that skill acknowledging you for it or it's someone who IS neck deep in that skill recognizing you're doing impressive things with it. There's no need to get stressed about it.

People do have varied capacities for different pursuits and effort can't always bridge the gap, but it's not even something you can compare if you haven't at least been putting forth the same amount of effort as the person you're comparing yourself to.

I suck at rollerskating but I haven't ever committed like a full week to trying to get better at it. I'd rather not try because my ankles are weak.

I am not talented enough to sing Phantom of the Opera because despite my best efforts across multiple years of practice I can't hit that last note.

I think people misunderstand what "talent" means on both sides of the argument. Talent is capacity. But ain't nobody complimenting anyone like oh you're so talented if you haven't done anything to prove it. Your efforts prove your talent. It's not the opposite of hard work.

This care funding ban follows the map the G-O-P charted while attacking abortion. Democrats lost that fight by giving in to the G-O-P an inch at a time. Giving an inch at a time on trans care will devastate trans Americans and it'll get Democrats nothing in return but contempt.

While this is a valid point I agree with I would like to not confuse anyone into thinking capitalism is an excuse one could use to complain at creators for not catering to them. In fact, capitalism actually makes it harder to cater to niche groups. So it's even more reason to go make your own shit.
