Totally get that. Even since childhood I've always felt awkward receiving a gift - did my sincere gratitude appear as such etc - whereas giving, and seeing the surprise, joy, pleasure in the recipient, that is when I feel like I'm finally tuned in to what it's all about and indeed to myself.

If US Greens are anything like UK's Green Party they'd likely find they're the party that's most aligned with what they care about.
