Thanks for the plug James.

Here is the thread for all interested.

Should Leeds sign Jorgen Strand-Larsen seems to be the current question on the lips of #LUFC fans. There is a growing number saying no to this question and that the fee we are likely to pay - Circa £40mil. Is too much.

We believe we should sign him.

This is our assessment too. Especially considering in these tables. The two teams directly ahead of us in the table(Crystal Palace and Spurs) are both very low down in the form table.

So while this would be an expensive transfer. It is in our opinion a very worthwhile one which we should look to get over the line.

Thanks for reading. #LUFC

Then you have to consider the age of the two players. JSL is younger, not even into his prime years. Whereas DCL is currently inside his prime years. Approaching post-prime. Which would make JSL an investment for future years of goalscoring, while also being a saleable asset.

The next point we want to make is one on availability. It's well known DCL has had issues with injury's and should one strike. We would be left with Nmecha, and while Nmecha is doing well on the goal scoring front.

He is a downgrade in the other important things DCL does for us

In addition we think they could both be played together, while they are both of similar profiles. There is notable differences. Firstly that JSL is better with his feet

Meaning we don't have to rely on headed chances from openplay and Set Pieces.

Meaning more strings to our bow

What the above also shows us. Is that although Calvert-Lewin is currently performing against his xG in this season. Historically we know this isn't the case.

So should Calvert-Lewin regress to his historical form. We could really do with a striker who is more consistent.

Compare this to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

66 Goals - 90.99xG - Total

34 Goals - 47.4xG - Right Foot
7 Goals - 13.87xG - Left Foot
24 Goals - 28.2xG - Head

Who is more likely to score with his head.
January 24, 2026 at 11:08 AM
JSL Has shown consistent goal scoring at the top levels in Spain & England, but lets look deeper.

32 Goals - 36.27xG - Total

20 Goals - 21.03xG - Right Foot
6 Goals - 7.12xG - Left Foot
6 Goals - 8.08xG - Head

Showing he's actually better with his feet than his head.

Hugo Bueno is the one right at the top, far right is Amad Diallo.
