Well they have plenty of experience with RR buses here 🤐

It’s probably a regional thing. Here (Toulouse area) they can usually rustle up replacement buses at short notice, though obv depends on day/time (on a Sunday you are probably out of luck).

100% agree with you. Horribly authoritarian attitudes from people who probably think of themselves as generally liberal. Also: that thread has some weirdly confrontational responses on fairly non-controversial issues eg different needs of kids at rural vs city schools.

There‘s a regular and quick bus service from Bilbao to San Sebastiàn - much quicker than the Euskotren.

You never know, we had a mega cold snap (longer and colder than this week) in February 2012!

-7 in Toulouse this morning, but no snow

Hope your sleep returns to normal quickly. I’m not a stressy person but must say that two weeks off work has done wonders for my sleeping habits.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s unsafe, but I suspect that some tablets might contain less than they say they do (to stay safely under the 2 mg limit for OTC sale). I think the UK is very much an outlier in terms of not allowing it for OTC purchase at all.

It’s completely anecdotal but I find some brands/formats of melatonin much better than others, perhaps because it’s basically sold as a ´supplement’ here and therefore only minimally regulated.

The premises... that this is anything to do with being a cop [the pardon of Honduras' ex President! Trying to coerce Ukraine! operation having no legal basis in US!]... that Trump is part of what the rest of us understand as 'Western civilization'.

I take double the ‘recommended’ dose (2 x 1.9mg) in a dissolve under the tongue format. It’s not a magic bullet for me but helps.

I am a bad sleeper and find melatonin somewhat helpful. Might help reestablish normal sleeping habits?

My OH is retired and quite unsociable but got flu during a hospital procedure under GA. Your motivation to get a flu jab will obviously depend on age/comorbidities though, I’m asthmatic so it’s a no-brainer.

I do not understand why, if an MP believes that *criminal* material is being published on X, they cannot simply report this to the relevant authorities (several French MPs have done this). MPs whining about it online achieves precisely nothing!

A lot of flu around now (not so much covid) so well worth it. OH brought flu home after a hospital procedure, he was mildly ill (vaxed), our lodger (no vax) was really ill and I had a scratchy throat for a few hours.

Costs around 20€ if you don’t have an invite from the CPAM, and some of that may be refundable by your mutuelle. You can get a covid booster (free) at the same time!

It is one of the mysteries of modern life that the very people who expect a lot from young people appear to expect very little of themselves.
