I think back to how interesting the Original Xbox was, how amazing the 360 was. I suppose change has to start somewhere and I hope to see them get back on a track that makes everyone excited about them again. I can't think of a single person my social sphere that's talked about their xbox in 10yrs

Maybe down the line truly 'made-for' games will prove it's worth, but for now it's not even distinguishable from it's predecessor.

Mario Kart World would look the same if not for a few missable things that used the new GPU just for the sake of being and to claim it does and the 'Enhanced' games are like charging people to use what would be 'Optimal' on a PC.

It takes a bit of adjustment time but it's completely viable now.

Proton has made a vast majority of the gaming argument void. And windowsb does a lot of useless (to the user) backend shit that is not present so you get a massive performance boost there.

Guaranteed? No. But entirely within the realm of possibility and realization.

Combine that with the fact that an SNES game development suite is under active development by someone with a proven track record, there's some real potential for some awesome actual Super CD games in the next year or so.

There's at least one all-in-one reproduction system in development as an experiment to see if it can be done, but the potential for an actual CD addon that connects via the expansion port is realizable dream.
