@ballxpit.com Are there any plans for a Switch physical release?

•Stray (NS)
•Pokemon Arceus (NS)
•Demon's Tilt (NS)
•Dragon's Fury (MD)
•Stern Pinball Arcade (NS)

I need to wrap Christmas presents today.

So obviously I'm not doing that and playing Golden Axe instead. 🥴

Can somebody please stop me from impulse buying a physical copy of Stardew Valley for the Switch?

Forgot to eat and drink today, because thanks to being a hermit for months, Christmas shopping is happening today. All at once.

So this is my lunch. At 3pm. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Top tier adulting, I'm sure you'll agree.

This is a lot of words just to say: "because it's the same stuff the generation that raised them had. They grew up around it as it faded, so have a faint nostalgia for it."

Same reason Gen X'ers/early millennials had a hard-on for 60's music and fashion.
Why do Gen Z have a growing appetite for retro tech?
Gen Z are going retro, with studies showing a resurgence in people buying tech in the modern age that can be dated back decades.

While I'm here, Neon White is on sale for the Switch.

Well worth your time, especially if you like stylish shooters and/or speed running.

I respect Bugsnax for its commitment to being absolutely hatstand from the off and only getting weirder from there.

Every time I think we've reached peak weird, it turns out I was wrong.

Feels like a reading and retro games kinda day.

I'm in this comic and I don't like it. 🤣
maybe next time

I was really struggling with my mental health last night (depression has been steadily getting worse for a few months, but last night was particularly grim).

Normally when I try to do something I enjoy when I feel low it doesn't help much and usually just sucks the joy out of a thing I like…

So Yodel continue to be an absolute shower of bastards.

Apparently I have my parcel that they posted through my door.

I do not.

And conveniently there's no number visible in the picture of the door they posted it through.

Will they help? Nope.

This is well worth your time if you have PS Plus.

I think it's fair to say my Switch game collecting is getting somewhat out of hand. 🤣

Just finished Stray.

Somehow manages to be cute, wholesome, creepy and horrifying all while you play as a cat.

And really bloody sad.

Absolutely recommended.

Oh and if you're not convinced there's a dedicated meow button.

Decided to have a go on Vampire Survivors this afternoon, as it's been a while since I played it.

Hit "quick start" just to get back into the swing of the game and was handed the skeleton (which I'm bad with), picked an Arcana that meant I didn't level up (but turned gems into projectiles)…

I decided to have a quick go of Slay The Spire before I went to bed.

An hour and a half later at almost 2am, I've just completed a run.

I forgot: there are no "quick" goes on Slay The Spire.

Why has no one invented a super glue that doesn't glue itself shut?

No, I didn't just sit* for an hour waiting for this achievement to pop.

You must be thinking of some other nerd with no social life.

*I read Retro Gamer magazine while I waited, I'm not a total weirdo.

Sometimes I fully accept I'm overly dramatic and negative.

Then there's this week where I got a concussion and chickenpox concurrently.

So I think this one is earned: FML

Got myself a new wobbly buddy.

He's adorable. I've just realised he's a Stegosaurus (I originally thought he was an Ankylosaurus, my favourite dinosaur.)

But he's yellow and small so I'm just going to pretend he still is an Ankylosaurus even though they were neither of those things either. 😆

I've realised that the highlight of my week these days is sitting in Tesco car park on a Friday eating a meal deal before going to pick my daughter up from school.

That's ever so slightly depressing. 🫥
