maybe if no one has told them how they're being annoying, but otherwise this is something you can actively mitigate, no?

at least i wasn't the only one. eventually i took the signs myself. unsurprisingly they saw me (chased me down, grabbed me, pulled out their cameras) and called the cops, who showed up but kind of just said whatever and left. one of the jugtown guys told me (white) to "go back where you came from"

i had asked Leighton Newlin at the time to push public works to trash all their signs they were leaving on the curbs (public land). he was for the proposal but told me they didn't want to anger the group even though it technically isn't legal to put lawn signs on the curbs

i lived nextdoor during the original proposal. the jugtown group was insanely militant and hateful towards younger university staff and students in the neighborhood. i didn't really get the nominal arguments of "save jugtown" bc nothing about the building looks historical/appealing

Curious what corporate grocery store lobbying looks like right now and whether they have sway even if they wanted to

did he really say he never knew until now what it was or that he just didn't know when he got it at first?

With additional caveats that they allow retirees 65+ who were born in the country to be dual citizens IIRC

Cory McCartan has a bunch on this but I'd check out this paper for the theoretical understanding of the problem: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

One paper that I think does a really good job of credibly using fBISG is this: alilodermeier.github.io/PaperReposit...
Estimating Racial Disparities When Race is Not Observed
Estimating racial disparities without access to individual-level racial information is a common challenge in economic and policy settings. We develop a statistical method that relaxes the strong in...
