The San Francisco Soccer Football League is one of the most intriguing in the US. Not only does it have a great name and a history dating back to 1902, but the city of San Francisco itself doesn't have a professional soccer football team (for various reasons). Lots of strands to it.
The clubs are there. The New York area Cosmopolitan Soccer League has four divisions, and the San Francisco Soccer Football League has three, for example.
