More coddling to the Trump regime. As of today, we have worked with our sources and know that there are other states with this kind of action in mind. It is vital that this template from Alabama does not continue. If it goes through, then all of that funding that WE all have will go towards state TV

The station would meet its goal. But you’re right, it will vary by station and population given the area footprint.

The amount of funding that has been lost for a current member station is $2.5 million. This would mean that the fundraising arm would have to raise a total of $3.6 million in order to keep the network going. Since this is a smaller station, if every person in the footprint gave around $1.50, then

Private donors, businesses, and foundations are what will ultimately help the most in our current climate. Starting with local level support, things can be saved.

To my knowledge, no other PBS programming is getting picked up by streaming services. Sesame Street was purchased by HBO some time ago, so it is an outlier in regard to programming that was originally produced for PBS and now has a home somewhere else.
