Thanks! Got to the region today so the longest day of driving is done til I head home from this spiritual pilgrimage, the route for which is being guided by great hikes, foliage, waterfalls, and seeing friends I’ve gone too long without seeing

Sharing some nature vibes. I’ve been overwhelmed & depressed, & knew a change of scenery would help me get out of my head so I’m doing a road trip in the Pacific Northwest.

Even watching birds or taking a short walk to a neighborhood park can be restorative. What are you doing for self care?

Me: breaks a poem into character limit chunks, realizes it will take a dozen posts, reaffirms commitment to get better at haiku, fighting the desire for lengthy prose which pulls at me insistently at 3am, shunning haiku and merciful sleep 🫠 ✍️

I can’t imagine how long the line of legal cases is already for federal employees wrongfully terminated. Even if someone was successful in a lawsuit it would take so long they would have to find another job to make ends meet in the meantime. This is meant to inflict maximum damage. Vindictive AF.

Many words come to mind including manipulative & callous. Most importantly: illegal.

Meanwhile, Reclamation staff consolidated to Interior have largely been put on furlough but some are categorized as exempt or excepted like the rest of BOR staff - working
& unpaid work until reopening.
