It’s worse than “Gaza is being starved and destroyed and no one cares.” It’s that hundreds of millions *do* care and are powerless to stop it. We need a world where that can never happen, where the masses actually have political power.

This feels like one of the most bleak days in a long time. The end of the ceasefire, a new low for the UK government, escalating fascism in the US

Today I had a small role in resisting an eviction, alongside comrades from London Renters Union. It took 7 hours but eventually the police and bailiffs backed down. It's so important to have these moments of practical solidarity and winning together!

Feeling at Home finally came out this week, published by @versobooks.bsky.social. It’s about the everyday experience of housing, how different models of home shape our subjectivities, and how we could make a different kind of home together. Pictured here with my research assistant.

If you read my initial post, you'll see I'm arguing that we need rent controls, not that they are included in the bill. In fact the whole point of the article is that the weakness of the bill is that it doesn't include rent controls.

No rent controls (yet) though!

All eyes on Gaza. The ceasefire agreement doesn’t begin for 72 hours and Israel is on a killing spree.
