These are ridiculously small creatures. You'll likely never see one without looking for one. Just wow. Nice shooting.
Pretty much exactly a year ago I found and photographed my first globular springtail, and since then I've been completely obsessed. I've photographed over 800 springtail individuals now, and there's still so much out there to discover! This one is about 2mm, and is one of many undescribed species

These were three individual pieces I did in 2021. Unplanned, they became something of an accidental sequence. They then prompted me to make the piece in the quoted post, of the pumpkin dance, by way of a conclusion.
