Exercise is good. Nutrition matters. Prevention matters.
However, turning food into something you have to earn or feel guilty about isn’t health, it’s ideology.

I've got 4 books left to complete my reading goal of 12 books for the year and at the rate I'm going, I'll finish that within a week, no problem. Basically it's all I can do right now, so it's actually been nice to get in some solid reading time.

Ok. Now had a chance to check and, well, at least some docs do appear to be straight up classic redaction fail. And there are some *interesting* bits here.

Elbow injection done. I've been home for an hour and I'm already going stir crazy. Friend who suggested a straitjacket to keep me from using my arm might be on to something.

Final market done! I might defrost by the start of 2026.

Everything is set for Monday with the doctor's office, now I just have to clean/organize/hide any reason I'd have to use my arm for about two weeks.

Today was SO good. Man, I have gotten the know some truly incredible people, I have some amazing customers, and work alongside some talented and hardworking people.

Totally just found the justification for the 5 cheeses I bought from a local farm today.
"Higher intake of high-fat cheese and high-fat cream was associated with a lower risk of all-cause dementia."
Results of a 25-year prospective study of ~27,000 participants.
The purported benefit was not linked to APOE4 carriers or low-fat cheese intake

I really need to finish printing cards today but the humidity in the house is SO low, I've been fighting the ink drying in the screen almost immediately. This is fun.

That day after yoga when you wake up and are all of a sudden very aware of exactly how every last abdominal muscle works and where they all are.

Trying to get back to regular yoga this winter - tried a new instructor today. If they don't recognize you, the teachers always check in, introduce themselves and ask if you have any injuries, etc. After class, she thanked me for coming & said I had a really pretty practice 😭

Had a market rescheduled from today to next week, so instead of getting shit done ahead of a long 3-market week next week, I'm absolutely procrastinating.

I just watched a man pull into my neighborhood, drag a dead deer out of the woods, um use a saw on it, then drive off. What the ever loving fuck.

Uggh there's now AI SLOP garbage fabric designs on spoonflower.

PSA and I should've known better, but don't shop Michael's online.. half my order was substituted without me knowing (and I explicitly didn't accept substitutions on the order) with things that weren't even remotely the same. I'm so disgusted.

Elbow injection scheduled. Already a little panicky over it.. doc found some things had gotten better and some worse today on the pre-procedure ultrasound, so that was .. fun?
I mean, something needs to be done about this, and it's definitely not going to get better with just rest and stretching.

Had a couple of completely random conversations at the farmers market with shoppers who weren't necessarily customers, and it was great. You don't have to be a customer to drop by to say hello - we know who the regulars are.
December 8, 2025 at 4:22 AM
I had quite a few people ask about large orders (9, 15, 20+ jars) and gosh I just don't have it. I've never really done bulk sales because my priority is farmers markets, but this year I honestly don't even have the stock on hand for that kind of thing.
(I'm honored but also, oof.)

Got into bed and a delivery driver just left a package on the porch at 11:39pm. That poor driver ffs. The truck left the depot at 6:30 this morning.

I still have to design my annual holiday card and I am _struggling_ to get it done this year.
I still want to do it, I'm just .. pfft!

Yepp. Deleted my account when they announced the switch, and also I found out (after using a better app) they they were teaching me incorrect things. Not just slightly different nuance, but dead incorrect.
Duolingo announced it was going “AI-first” just over six months ago. Since then its stock is down 64%.

Egg producers suspect bird flu is traveling through the air.

After a disastrous Midwestern outbreak early this year, we tested that theory and found that where the wind blew, the virus followed.

Vaccines could help, but the USDA hasn’t approved them.

My expectations for customer service are generally so low, that when I do have a really fantastic interaction (email and phone call follow up about a missing item), I go out of my way to be extra kind and thankful. CS is a shitty job, and to be on top of things like this? Super impressive.

Went back and did some numbers and I have nearly doubled my overall market sales average since 2021. I knew I'd been doing well this year, but didn't realize it was _that_ well.
