Roommate theoretically flying to Japan in December BUT will cardiologist be "yeah, that is a fabulous idea after being into emerg in a-fib"? 🤷

Roommate does seem to not be hitting a-fib, per Kardia 6L, Fitbit, increased beta blocker dose, but they need to chase enough prescription for ttip

Roommate just doesn't have any sense of urgency on this, but forbade me to ask dealership 🙄

Hasn't been arsed to get the snow tires out of where they hid them to be able to put them on.

Earliest part delivery from this place in London, Ontario for the supporting stuff behind bumper is December 1st

Front bumper currently strapped together, feels /sounds bad above 70km/h

Highway across city isn't really feasible, let alone driving to Sudbury for holidays (but that depends on these intermittent fevers dissipating)

I know some of the supporting parts are broken, but don't know which ones.

Roommate still hasn't paid me back from last year.

First it was "I gave you $2000 and that's enough"

Then "okay, here a bit more"

Then "can't pay you back, saving for HVAC"

Then "have to pay down HVAC in case anything happens to car"

Then they happened to car 🙃

That is massive deal! Took forever to load Amazon here, but the Aura N95 masks are amazing and my favorite of disposables

(portion sizes vary. Some of these would be a snack at most for my partner. Some of them would be too much for another friend.

I definitely didn't eat the whole package of ravioli, but it will be in fridge for other meals, already cooked)

Third was homemade bread with just peanuts peanut butter and a lush raspberry jam from France.

Fourth was spinach and ricotta ravioli (also Costco)

Fifth might do a tortilla with zaatar hummus, sliced turkey meat, maybe feta, and sliced up dill pickles

Or might do carrot cake. Or might do both.

I don't do standard meals a lot. So just going to tell you today's tasty tasties:

First meal was cottage cheese with pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, frozen raspberries, dark chocolate broken into bits

Second meal was butternut squash soup I got at Costco, with buttered bread roommate made.

Steel cut oats can be microwaved, but watch them until get hang of

50% power, two minutes, stir, 50% power two minute again. ⅓ oats to ⅔ water. Or ½ apple juice ½ water.

I use a microwave splatter cover thing, off for second burst for less runny.

Narrower bowls boil over faster than wider ones

Steel cut oatmeal with peanut butter. And some dark chocolate broken up. Sometimes frozen raspberries.

(local equivalent newsletters usually had the places anyone who has lived here has heard of. I haven't been on FB in a while to see what they're trying to promote now)

Google is testing Explore Mode in Maps here.

One of the cultural recommendations this morning:

a retirement / assisted living facility that has a lot of veterans

Algorithms can be useful, but can't recognize Remembrance Day increases visitors AND inappropriate to recommend to random tourists

My phone is being potato and was not wanting to focus when I went in back green space, but I did manage to show California partner so they could see the magenta shiny (I could see green while driving but not at townhouse)
November 12, 2025 at 5:41 AM
I was driving back from emerg (roommate discharged, new med dose to try), and could see aurora clearly while driving on the freeway equivalent, that has big light up highway lights.

Normally, I have to drive 1-2 hours out of city for barely visible.

I joked "who'd testing nukes in ionosphere?"
November 12, 2025 at 5:40 AM
Parts of San Diego county apparently visible in darker sky areas, but also, trying to get to darker sky areas.
November 12, 2025 at 5:36 AM
I could see green while I was driving, but only burgundy when in greenspace behind the townhouse.

Confusing thing for me is that I had to look in southern sky, which isn't normally where I have seen it.

My phone didn't wanna get good photos, but I did manage to video partner on Signal to show them
November 12, 2025 at 5:28 AM
I think you're seeing a bit of the Aurora - massive solar storm

I was shocked at being able to see it in Ottawa while driving on highway with highway lampposts lit up -- usually when I have seen Northern Lights here, I've had to drive out of city an hour to where there is much less ambient light

Huh. I should -not- try to figure out what is up with the abnormal flags on bloodwork.

But, something involving a kidney is my guess.

Also wow, their electrolytes were absolutely wrecked when I brought them in with the minor stroke last August

Yay resident or student in doing preliminary exam.

Watching the monitor numbers go all over the place as roommate talks. It's not emotional or upset, maybe effort of speaking, might be cognitive load.
November 12, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Someone in Emergent Care listening to a car chase and sirens movie

Looked up and there are towels stuffed in air vent above roommate bed.

Looked up again and realized there is blood splatter.

Um.

It's dry at least?

(Fairly sure it is blood, not fecal matter. Really hope it isn't fecal matter)
November 12, 2025 at 12:08 AM
Roommate is now in a bed, they messaged me location in emergent care while I was waiting for pizza to cook.

They're on their laptop, hooked up to monitor, and in normal sinus rhythm, because of course they are 🤦 (a few PVCs once in a while)
