Autistic people may be a minority, but I see them as the canary in the coal mine. Their struggles stem from an inability to cope with a false role in a false life within a false society. They are sensitive to behaviorist policies and environmental toxins, which are ever increasing in our world.

I’m blown away by the Intense World Theory of autism. It explains so much, and I feel that it offers a positive perspective from which to view my struggles.

Ever wondered why autism can be described in seemingly contradictory ways? The understanding and meaning of the condition completely flipped in the mid-20th century. It was easier to deny the existence of an inner life than to include subjective criteria in large-scale studies.

Autistic people who have taken part in ABA are 86% more likely to experience PTSD than those who have not. It's child abuse.

Today in Hell Yes, Research! Despite decades of use on non-speaking autistics, research shows that ABA therapy has never been even SLIGHTLY useful to them.

Yes, I have deficits due to autism. But I have strengths, too! A little more emphasis on our strengths would go a long way in reducing the impact that deficits have on our lives.

I hate it when someone mispercieves me or what I'm doing. I know those misperceptions stick. Its hard to move past the habit of trying to correct it, but explanations rarely change the minds of others. Use that energy elsewhere.
