Food insecurity is rising in Georgia 🍑. And this doesn’t just affect those impacted by the government shutdown. Sometimes members of our community fall into the gap of being employed and make too much money to qualify for SNAP benefits, yet, they make too little to pay for their basic necessities.

Of course he can afford to donate his salary during the shutdown — he’s spent years enriching himself while our communities paid the price. Let’s be clear: Buddy Carter helped create the shutdown that forced families to miss paychecks and pushed local nonprofits into crisis mode.
