Seeing as how the TX governor *literally ordered* CPS to invade my home so the state could investigate my trans-inclusive family for "child abuse" in order to "protect" my own children from their own parents, this take doesn't seem that far fetched.
Texas governor Greg Abbott has already indicated an intent to outright ban trans people from schools. Texas would likely be able to get away with it under rational basis by citing vague claims of protecting children.
